I have worked closely with Tallin for over four years and he has been a phenomenal manager. I don’t give out recommendations lightly, but he truly goes above and beyond to perform in his position. For those reading this recommendation, I’ll break down why Tallin will make such an impact on your team.

Management:

It’s nice to have a manager that is knowledgeable about marketing, while not being condescending. He elevates everyone to his level and the entire team succeeds because of his selfless behavior. He always gives credit to the team instead of taking credit himself. He ultimately makes decisions for the team, but he always encourages feedback and ideas from the team. As a result, our entire team has become really close and successful in each of our responsibilities.

Skills:

It’s rare when you get a marketer that understands the importance of data as much as Tallin. His hard skills with segmentation, reporting, analytics, strategy, and task fulfillment are incredible. He also has skills in building WordPress websites, managing Asana, running Pardot and Salesforce, and reporting with Excel.

It’s been great working with Tallin and I’m glad for the opportunity to recommend him.

I believe that, as a small business owner, it is critical to choose employees that will treat the business as well as or better than you do. Tallin has been that person for me. Tallin has worked with me since July of 2012 and works remotely from his home office. He has always been 100% reliable, and dependable. I have been impressed with his ability to stay on task and remain productive while working remotely.

During his employment Tallin has progressively taken on more responsibilities and has performed well each time. Tallin has also brought skills, such as SEO and email marketing, to the organization that we did not have before. With his knowledge, I have been able to expand my services to clients. This has been a tremendous help.

Tallin joined Author’s Catapult as our 1st Digital Marketing Apprentice. He was eager to learn and quickly assimilated all the training we gave him. He was also bright to remember the marketing concepts and transfer them to each new project he worked on.
 
While apprenticing, Tallin set up marketing funnels, lead capture pages and Facebook Ad campaigns including tracking pixels to be used for custom audience creation. He created accountability videos and learned principles of video marketing. He edited webpages in OptimizePress, installed WordPress plugins and much more.
 
It was great to have Tallin aboard and I am convinced that he will add a great deal of value anywhere he chooses to contribute. He is reliable, consistently communicates project statuses and is capable of working on a wide range of tasks.

There is always a certain level of responsibility expected of interns at 97th Floor, but Tallin went above and beyond the typical call of duty. In particularly tumultuous circumstances, he regularly rose to the occasion and took up slack our team was incredibly grateful for. With a firm grasp on thorough research, enduring hard work, conducting effective paid promotion and other digital marketing prowess, Tallin was an important asset to our efforts and a pleasure to work with.

As the owner of several Utah based businesses, I have had the opportunity to hire and work with several hundred people. It has been rare occasions to have someone really stand out as an up and coming leader… In all honesty, Tallin is one of the few people that I know that can live in both the “creative” world (idea generation, differentiation, disruption, and innovation) as well as in the “logical/procedural” world (execution, processes, efficiencies, experiential opportunities, and strategic vision). He understands interdepartmental relationships and is excellent at suggesting creative solutions that make sense for the organization and not just his immediate area of focus. In my estimation, this is one personality trait that is invaluable in the business world and that is near impossible to train.

I had the privilege of working with Tallin at inWhatLanguage for the last 6 months. I work as inWhatLanguage’s Social Impact Manager and report to Tallin, the Director of Marketing. Tallin is first and foremost an excellent leader and manager. He knows what needs to get done and is phenomenal at both getting the right people in the right place, but also giving them the support they need to succeed. Tallin is extremely approachable and provides the necessary advice and guidance to get the most out of his team. He is one of the best managers I have had the pleasure of working with.

In addition to being a superb leader, Tallin is a technical expert in Marketing. Tallin has a deep knowledge of all aspects of marketing. From lead generation and marketing automation to digital marketing Tallin is an all-around expert. Tallin is a worthy addition to any team.

Tallin has been my superior at inWhatLanguage for the last year and a half and I have to say, I can’t imagine what a better manager would be like. Tallin inspires our team to do their best work and to be free flowing with creativity and ideas. He has led the marketing team at inWhatLanguage to continually grow and innovate. Through his leadership, the marketing team was able to assist in 68% of our company’s revenue in 2018 through marketing generated leads. He fosters a team culture that feels good about sharing ideas and communicating openly. This has caused our team to be very innovative with ways to market our services and to contribute to the companies growth in any way we can. I’ve personally learned a great deal, not only about marketing but about management from Tallin and how to lead by example. I couldn’t ask for a better manager that is willing to take the time to teach and help us to do our best work. Through his management style, he has created an ultra-productive and proactive marketing team at inWhatLangauge. I should also mention that inWhatLanguage is a fast growing company and Tallin was the only one on the marketing team when he started. We now have 3 full-time marketers, 1 part-time, and 3 interns.

Tallin was my direct manager when I began my first real marketing apprenticeship. When I first began, I didn’t have the slightest clue about what I was doing. Without hesitation, Tallin took the time to train me on all of my projects and marketing tools so that I would be able to succeed in my position. He always made himself available to answer any questions I would have and made me feel like a valued employee.

As I watched Tallin perform his daily responsibilities, I was amazed at how well he did his job. He was constantly furthering his education in the marketing field and learning on how he could do his job better and help the company succeed and accomplish all of its marketing goals. He wasn’t one of those people that was only there for the paycheck, he truly wanted the company to succeed and would do what it took to make it happen.

I have no doubt in my mind that Tallin will be crucial to helping any company accomplish their marketing goals and more.

When we worked together we were on different teams but my workstation was right next to the marketing team and as such I was privy to how Tallin and his team operated.

I cannot speak much to Tallin’s abilities in marketing, as that area is not within my expertise. I CAN however speak to how Tallin worked with his team. Note the use of ‘with’ from my perspective Tallin never appeared to ‘manage’ or ‘direct’ his team in a superordinate to subordinate fashion. Tallin’s marketing team was composed of interns, part time employees, and full time employees. Despite this hodgepodge of people with different skills and experience, they always operated as peers and equals.

I perceived that those working under Tallin were fiercely loyal to him. One even commented that the only reason they remained at the company was because Tallin was a great boss and they were unlikely to ever find another one like him. The unity with which they worked was enviable. Despite the high stress atmosphere in which the company frequently found itself, the marketing team was always upbeat AND getting results.

The result of Tallin’s leadership was not limited only to team morale. They were also very productive and as I recall, results of their KPI’s were very positive. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the marketing team under Tallin was the most efficient and successful team at the company during my time there.

To conclude, I can unequivocally recommend Tallin as a leader and team player. People like this are hard to come by, get him if you can.

Since Tallin has come onboard, he has amped up our company marketing efforts ten-fold. He is very effective in brainstorming and executing creative marketing strategy. Aside from his marketing expertise, he is also extremely great to work with. There’s something about Tallin that makes one want to exceed his expectations for any task. I would highly recommend Tallin as a fabulous asset for any organization striving for excellence.

Tallin joined our enterprise marketing team at 97th Floor at a time when were neck deep in big projects for clients. He absolutely hit the ground running for us and was an absolute joy to work with. Not only did he absolutely crush it with specific tasks that we assigned to him, he was also eager to learn and quick to understand broader goals and trends within digital marketing. And did I mention he did all of this while taking a full load of classes and MBA-related work? He was an all-star.

Tallin worked with our office for the MBA program at Utah Valley University. He worked on and completed many projects including survey development and results compilation, data gathering and analysis, and other marketing support functions. Tallin was always efficient in completing projects and completed them in a timely and professional manner. Our MBA team was lucky to have Tallin on our team. He was one of the hardest workers in the class and has amazing technical writing skills. Anytime he took on a group report, our group would have the highest grade in the class. His consistent effort and attention to detail helped lead our team be one of the most successful in the the MBA program. Tallin is also very personable and easy to get along with. I had the privilege of working in the same MBA group as Tallin. Tallin is a driven, hardworking, and strategic thinking individual. I am continuously impressed by the amount of work he proactively takes on and the consistent quality of his deliverables. He’s very personable and effective in navigating interpersonal conflict. Tallin Johnson was my teammate during the completion of my Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Utah Valley University.
