I helped them grow their database of prospects from 0 to 32,000+ within an 18 month period. Additionally, I’ve helped multiple clients set up and manage their HubSpot accounts for marketing and sales automation.
While working at inWhatLanguage, I implemented a market research program where we used ZoomInfo we identified and added target accounts/contacts to our database to target in marketing campaigns. I’ve since gone on to use a similar market research program at Global Upside Corporation and with multiple clients at Slopes Marketing.

It’s rare when you get a marketer that understands the importance of data as much as Tallin. His hard skills with segmentation, reporting, analytics, strategy, and task fulfillment are incredible. He also has skills in building WordPress websites, managing Asana, running Pardot and Salesforce, and reporting with Excel.
It’s been great working with Tallin and I’m glad for the opportunity to recommend him.
Digital Advertising
Digital Advertising
I started working in digital advertising in 2012 at Mike Pectol Consulting, a digital advertising agency. I primarily worked as a paid search campaign manager for 20+ clients with combined budgets of more than $1M/year. During my time there I learned how to help businesses plan, launch, measure, and optimize their paid search ad campaigns. I was able to consistently improve our clients paid search ad campaign performance by following industry best practices for paid search campaign optimization. Subsequently, I went on to manage paid search and Linkedin ad campaigns for my employers inWhatLanguage, Global Upside Corporation, and for several clients of Slopes Marketing, helping them increase the number of marketing qualified leads generated from these efforts.
I worked at a digital advertising agency for nearly 3 years while managing 20 Google Ads paid search accounts with combined annual budgets of up to $1M. I then went on to manage the Google Ads accounts for my employers inWhatLanguage and Global Upside Corporation. I successfully scaled the Global Upside ad spend from $5k/month up to $40k/month while making it a major factor in driving leads for the company.
While working for Global Upside Corporation, I managed and optimized Linkedin ad campaigns for three of our brands to reach our target audience. This included running several different types of ads, including single image, carousel image, event, and message (sponsored inmail) ad campaigns. This became a very effective way for us to segment our audience and reach different prospects in our marketing/sales funnels with relevant calls to actions based on their specific stage.

I believe that, as a small business owner, it is critical to choose employees that will treat the business as well as or better than you do. Tallin has been that person for me. Tallin has worked with me since July of 2012 and works remotely from his home office. He has always been 100% reliable, and dependable. I have been impressed with his ability to stay on task and remain productive while working remotely.
During his employment Tallin has progressively taken on more responsibilities and has performed well each time. Tallin has also brought skills, such as SEO and email marketing, to the organization that we did not have before. With his knowledge, I have been able to expand my services to clients. This has been a tremendous help.
WordPress Design & Management
WordPress Design & Management
I began working in WordPress in 2011 and most of my website experience since then has been in WordPress (with some Shopify and SquareSpace experience mixed in). My experience includes everything from making updates to existing WordPress websites to setting a brand-new WordPress website from scratch. I’m experienced in setting up WordPress hosting, installing the WordPress theme (Divi is my preferred theme) and required plugins, writing website copy, and adding the design the pages.
WordPress websites I’ve created and designed on my own from scratch:
Other WordPress websites my teams and I have designed and managed:
Tallin joined Author’s Catapult as our 1st Digital Marketing Apprentice. He was eager to learn and quickly assimilated all the training we gave him. He was also bright to remember the marketing concepts and transfer them to each new project he worked on.
While apprenticing, Tallin set up marketing funnels, lead capture pages and Facebook Ad campaigns including tracking pixels to be used for custom audience creation. He created accountability videos and learned principles of video marketing. He edited webpages in OptimizePress, installed WordPress plugins and much more.
It was great to have Tallin aboard and I am convinced that he will add a great deal of value anywhere he chooses to contribute. He is reliable, consistently communicates project statuses and is capable of working on a wide range of tasks.
Content Creation
Content Creation
As a marketer with more than a decade of experience, I’ve been involved with my share of content creation. While working on smaller teams, I had the opportunity to contribute as content creator. While working in a management capacity, I’ve had the opportunity to develop a content marketing strategy, manage a content calendar, and lead content creators in their roles. When planning a content marketing strategy, I always look ensure that the entire marketing/sales funnel is covered and that our content enables the organization to achieve its business goals. I have experience in creating blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, infographics, explainer videos, website and landing pages, case studies, success stories, sales materials, and more. Below are some examples of my work.
Landing Pages
Other examples of content I’ve created:
Tallin was my direct manager when I began my first real marketing apprenticeship. When I first began, I didn’t have the slightest clue about what I was doing. Without hesitation, Tallin took the time to train me on all of my projects and marketing tools so that I would be able to succeed in my position. He always made himself available to answer any questions I would have and made me feel like a valued employee.
As I watched Tallin perform his daily responsibilities, I was amazed at how well he did his job. He was constantly furthering his education in the marketing field and learning on how he could do his job better and help the company succeed and accomplish all of its marketing goals. He wasn’t one of those people that was only there for the paycheck, he truly wanted the company to succeed and would do what it took to make it happen.
I have no doubt in my mind that Tallin will be crucial to helping any company accomplish their marketing goals and more.

In-Person Events & Tradeshows
In-Person Events & Tradeshows
In-person events and tradeshows are important as they allow businesses to engage with their target audience in a dynamic and immersive way, creating memorable experiences that can drive brand awareness, loyalty, and ultimately, business growth. Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to participate in several different tradeshows and in-person events with the objectives of building brand awareness and generating qualified leads.
Pre-Event Marketing
Event Coordination
Tradeshows require a lot of coordination. I have experience vetting tradeshow events, choosing booth sizes and locations, sponsorship opportunities, completing booth design, planning speaking sessions, and planning at-event networking opportunities.
Event Logistics
Once a tradeshow is planned, there are a lot of logistics required to make sure the plan is executed correctly. This includes getting all the necessary materials and people to and from the event. Have participated in dozens of tradeshow events, I’ve been heavily involved in coordinating these types of logistics.
Market Research
Prior to a tradeshow, I have experience researching who will be attending the event and accessing their contact information. This is helpful to run pre-event marketing campaigns and invite key prospects to connect at the tradeshow.
Pre-Event Campaigns
Doing as much pre-event marketing allows you maximize your time at the event. I have experience setting up event landing pages and then reaching out to target prospects (who will be attending the event) to let the know about our participation in the event. This helps start the brand awareness and lead generation efforts early.
At-Event Marketing
Booth Setup/Takedown
Having a booth at a tradeshow is a great way to showcase your products/services to your target audience. But ensuring your booth calls their attention is critical. I have experience setting up and taking down tradeshow booths, ensuring that it is set up in a way that will catch attention.
Working The Booth
Attending a tradeshow is a big time and money investment. Once you’re there, you want to make sure you connect with as many target prospects as you can. By using giveaways, games, lead magnets, and other tactics, I’ve effectively driven lots of traffic to tradeshow booths to maximize lead generation during the event.
Making Connections
Working the booth isn’t the only way to make connections. Some effective ways I’ve used include scheduling prior to the event meetings with key prospects while at the event, visiting the booths of other sponsors, attending speaking sessions, and shamelessly scanning as many badges as possible.
After Hour Networking
After hour networking is a great opportunity to connect with even more prospects. This can be in the form of piggybacking the networking opportunities planned by the event itself or other sponsors at the event. Additionally, I’ve planned several after hours events, such as dinners or other activities to create a networking opportunities.
Post-Event Marketing
CRM Updates
Once you’re done with the event, you should have a large list of prospects to market to. I have experience segmenting prospects by lead stage, setting up campaign info for tracking purposes, importing these prospects into the CRM with the proper source, campaigns, and other relevant details from the event.
Thought Leadership
A great way I’ve doubled down on participation at a tradeshow is by creating a summary content of the event. This includes key summaries from keynote speakers and other breakout sessions via articles or videos. Ranking this content on Google/YouTube for keywords related to the event helps establish you as a thought leader to prospects that attended.
Post-Event Follow-Up
Once the event is complete its time to start the follow ups. Doing some segmentation based on engagement will help you know how to best follow up. For example, I’ve segmented our list by MQLs (leads our sales team needs to follow up with) and prospects (leads our marketing team will follow up with). Creating templates for each helps your marketing be more effective in these follow ups.
Long-Term Nurture
Last but not least, I have experience in ensuring that the leads generated from an event are added to long term nurture campaigns. I’ve always continued to market to all event leads even after the event is completed. By doing this, I’ve been able to keep the conversation going allowing the company to maximize the ROI of the tradeshow investment.
Tradeshows and other in-person events I’ve participated in:
Global Upside Corporation
Since Tallin has come onboard, he has amped up our company marketing efforts ten-fold. He is very effective in brainstorming and executing creative marketing strategy. Aside from his marketing expertise, he is also extremely great to work with. There’s something about Tallin that makes one want to exceed his expectations for any task. I would highly recommend Tallin as a fabulous asset for any organization striving for excellence.
Virtual Events & Webinars
Virtual Events & Webinars
Virtual events and webinar allows businesses to engage, educate, and connect with their target audience, generate leads, and enhance brand awareness in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Throughout the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in several virtual events and webinars. Though these events take a lot of time and resources to successfully execute, I’ve had experience in successfully launching several virtual events and webinars. This has included planning the topic, coordinating with team members and partners, creating the content and slide decks, managing the webinar/event platform logics, sending invites, recording/editing the event, and participating as a host/moderator.
Virtual events & webinars I planned, coordinated, launched and hosted:
As the owner of several Utah based businesses, I have had the opportunity to hire and work with several hundred people. It has been rare occasions to have someone really stand out as an up and coming leader… In all honesty, Tallin is one of the few people that I know that can live in both the “creative” world (idea generation, differentiation, disruption, and innovation) as well as in the “logical/procedural” world (execution, processes, efficiencies, experiential opportunities, and strategic vision). He understands interdepartmental relationships and is excellent at suggesting creative solutions that make sense for the organization and not just his immediate area of focus. In my estimation, this is one personality trait that is invaluable in the business world and that is near impossible to train.
